On choosing an installer: mtvSolar has been in business since 2009 and we have NABCEP certified designers and installers. Your system is installed by mtvSolar employees, not temporary labor. Our customers are happy folks and often come back for expansion.
On incentives: You get all incentives, including the Federal tax credit, state incentives and SRECs.
On roofs: We install on any type of roof and have experience with all of them. mtvSolar also installs on the ground. See our blog for numerous examples!
On price and warranties: Our price per watt is for premium American Made panels from SolarWorld USA (click here for a free estimate and site evaluation). SolarWorld’s panel guarantee states “25-year linear performance guarantee and extension of product warranty to 10 years”
SolarEdge Inverter warranty states “SolarEdge includes a 25 year warranty for power optimizers and a standard 12 year warranty for inverters, extendable to 20 or 25 years.”
On ROI, leasing vs buying: mtvSolar does not lease, we sell quality solar systems that will last 40+ years. See our page “A Tale of 3 Houses” for our animated demonstration of each option.
Lastly, solar does work in WV despite CR’s map! Typically, you have a 10-12 year ROI in West Virginia.
