Anybody who grows a garden knows that even a giant sunflower starts with a single seed. 
Plant early and you’ll have a great harvest. 
Solar is a little like that.  
Solar installed today will produce electricity for 30-40 years!   
The way solar power systems are designed, they can be installed incrementally, which means you can begin 
your solar garden with just a few panels (and a smaller initial investment) and grow it over time.   Now is a great time to get started.

 It is hard to believe that another year has passed, and how much has changed in just a handful of years.  While our passion for the growth of renewable energy in the region has been a huge driving force behind the success of MTVSolar, it has been the tremendous support of our local communities and clients that is truly responsible for helping us chase our dreams.  There are many individuals and organizations which have been with us on every step of this journey, and moving forward into 2013, I would like to extend a heart-felt thank-you from everyone here at MTVSolar to every one in the MTVSolar family.   It is with a great deal of excitement and potential that we start this year, and having the support of so many in our local communities is a blessing for us as we move into 2013.

Among the recent jobs MTVSolar has installed is ground mount in Hedgesville, WV.  Anita contacted us several weeks ago, and what makes her install special to us is that she came to us after having purchased a Chevy Volt.  As those who follow MTVSolar know well, we are actively supporting the electric vehicle revolution and have several company vehicles on the road, as well as several customers who went solar before adding the electric vehicle. 
Anita is among the first to come to us for solar after purchasing her electric vehicle, and we are proud to have a part in another electric vehicle on our West Virginia roads being powered by domestic sunshine.  Another step towards energy and transportation independence fueled by American made SolarWorld ...   Read more...

November 1, 2012  Mountain View Solar’s install crew pulled into the driveway of a home under construction in Martinsburg WV. There was a very positive vibe in the air as they quickly but precisely assembled the 2.2 kilowatt solar array. Two hours later, 10 Solarworld 220watt solar PV panels lined the rooftop and the crew finished packing up and left with a great sense of accomplishment. As we approach the coming holidays, it is easy to sit back and acknowledge the many things i have to be thankful for.  I would begin with my kids, who truly are the brightest aspects of my life.  

Second, I am thankful for my job, and my part in the family that is MTVSolar.   It is clear to me that not everyone gets to do a job they love, and one that fits a deep ideological and philosophical belief, which is exactly what I have, and I am blessed to share that ideal with my MTVSolar family.
